  2. Primarily right handed, but I do some things with my left hand. I can write on chalkboards with my left hand and eat with my left hand (which comes in handy when I have eat next to my brother who is fully left handed). I also tend to pick up things with my left hand. I can also bat left handed when playing baseball.

  3. I have a Star Trek board game where you travel from planet to planet and then you have to answer trivia questions. It's based on the original series. I have had it for awhile so I don't know if it's still sold in the stores or not.

  4. Personally one of the most appealing things about Star Trek for me was that I felt that it was a more accurate depiction of what the future might be like then other Science Fiction shows and movies. I don't know about warp drive being accomplishable, I do find it highly improbable that we will ever be beaming around the galaxy because in the world of physics it's just not possible to turn our bodies into a bunch of small particles even for the future. I do however believe that it is entirely possible for us to be traveling around within the confines of space in a spaceship of some kind. Wether or not it has warp drive....well who knows....it's entirely possible that with technological advances in the future we could defy some of the laws of physics. More than likely if you asked someone in the 18th century if at sometime in the future humans would be flying they would have probably looked at you quizzically and just shook their heads and laughed. I don't about know about anyone else, but I would love to be here 200 or 300 years from now and see how the world has changed technologically, assuming that we haven't blown each other up and obliterated planet Earth.

For now though I just watch Star Trek for pure enjoyment and ponder what it would be like if it was all real.

  5. I went to the bookstore the other day and I found this book in there that contained quotes from Star Trek about a variety of subjects from friendship and loyalty to freedom and war. It was very interesting and I'm thinking about going back and purchasing. Anyone else seen something similar?

  6. And That Priceline Ad With Nimoy And Shatner Could Go Here, lol

I love that ad. I laughed so hard the first time I saw it everyone around me who weren't Trek fans didn't get it.

I remember the JAG reference too. Of course Bud has always been a Star Trek fan. I can remember earlier episodes where he was talking about it.

Another show they had Star Trek in it was the Wonder Years. They did an episode where they all dressed up like characters from the show and role played them.

Saturday Night Live use to do parodies of the show as well and lol, the first time I saw that Wiggles kid show the first thing that popped into my mind was Star Trek too.

  7. I agree with you. Even though Spock is his funnest during those classic verbal fights with McCoy. I like it when he wins and rises one eye brow to Bones. Just beautiful! I was a Spock fan before I discovered Data.

Yes definitely!! I love the eyebrow thing. Maybe because I do myself sometimes.

    Spock has no emotions...

He can't have a sense of humor....

I disagree. Remember Spock is half human and in Amok time actually does show a smile because he discovers that his Captain is alive. Vulcans have emotions, they just choose to suppress them. Spock really does have a sense of humor or I don't think he would have transported all those tribbles onto the Klingon ship.

  8. Lost in Space has never really appealed to me. I wasn't born until 1977 and I hooked on Star Trek in late 80s when I was in elementary and Jr. High. I think that Star Trek is something that most poeple can relate to and the storylines never get old. I always learn things from watching it.

  9. Since I've never been on a starship I guess I have to say airplane. I love flying and one of my goals is to learn how. If I wasn't going to be a teacher and it wasn't so expensive to learn I would have tried to become a commercial airline pilot.

  10. Wonderful episode, but it's strange to see Kirk and Spock wearing the same color uniform. I like the other ones better. It helps to differentiate the roles. It's interesting to see how Nimoy develops the Spock character over the course of the series. :)

  11. WOW!! a life size model of the Enterprise I didn't even think of that. That would be really unique. You could even turn it into a museum of some kind and charge people to walk through it. :)

  12. Hmm fascinating. I'm not sure what I would do. I know that would probably start searching around for memorabilia from the shows and probably create a room in my house specifically for Star Trek stuff. I would go to as many conventions as I possibly could and try to meet cast members from the shows. There are other things I would do with the money besides Trek stuff though like donations and investing.
