I think She'll move up even more in about a year and a half. Cheney will step down and it will be Vice President Rice

I think I see a couple of other people on that list ahead of her if Cheney does step down. It would Powell's if he wanted it for sure, if he doesn't want it then I see McCain getting it as a boost to his Presidential bid in 2008.

Yes, we should congratulate Dr. Rice on her achievments and insight she has put into the current administration. Moreover, we celebrate her accquisition of her new role in the cabinet.

Am I the only person who feels Powell wasn't treated fairly by this admin. I think part of it may be that Powell had the resources and contacts to build alliances and that wasn't the way this administration wanted to go.

 

I could be wrong of course but that is the feeling I get.

 

So I have mixed feelings about the replacement.
