Beagle2 Mars curse strikes again?

Recommended Posts

Beagle2 website

Somehow I had not even heard of this mission to find life on Mars until news of its failure hit the airwaves. The early reason being given for the spacecrafts lack of contact with planet Earth is it's believed to have upon landing, rolled up against a crater wall thus blocking the signal from even leaving the surface or causing the antenna to be pointed in the wrong direction and unable to find Earth.

Such crappy luck! :dude:

Do you think given the track record for failures of missions to Mars (2/3 failures to 1/3 successes) we should back off a little on our ambitions to explore Mars and let our technology improve or should we just charge ahead learning from our mistakes?
