November sweeps is over...now we can have four full weeks of reruns across all networks. Used to be they had reruns during the week of Christmas or between Christmas and New Year. Now, the entire month of December is reruns. I'm going to forget what I was watching.

What? :o For as long as I can remember, all of December and half of January have been re-run time. Also, you have to factor in early season premiere dates. As long as we get a full season, I don't mind having lots of re-runs. Besides, it gives me the chance to re-watch previous episode from the season. :)

You're young CJLP, I remember when a full season was about 33 episodes (not the current 22) - the new season started in early Sept and went through June. Dec and March were not rerun months

Can you give an example of a TV show that had 33 episodes a season?  Most shows I've watched are from the 80's, 90's and 00's, all of which having a full season of 20-25 episodes, roughly, a season.

Star Trek, the original series

Oooohhh...  See, I thought you were talking about recent shows, not 60's shows.

Yep, I've been watching tv since before you were born

LOL Yeah, TV has been around since before the 80's. I don't know how many episodes the average series had but I don't remember so many weeks/months of reruns in the past. It may be that the reruns were spread out over the course of the season rather then in blocks like they do now.

I wish they would do it like they did the first season of next gen. They showed a few new shows then a repeat or two then back to new shows. It even went into the summer. I rember that I did not have to wait that very long from the last of season one before season two started.
