Stephen of Borg 2 Posted August 13, 2009 I don't know about you, but a favorite thing of mine to do in my spare time is to write poetry and songs. This is the place where you can post some of your own poetry and comment on others. I usually write poetry/songs pretty fast and so some things come out better than others. I have about four of mine that I really like. I'll post those and then more as I write them eventually in the future. The Bird A bird that once knew how to majestically fly I sat there in pity to watch it die Such a beautiful creature, I heard its last cry It is never easy to see the end arrive It called to me and all I could do was stare There was nothing I could do, but it knew I was there The light of the world that bird must have seen The songs that thrilled the people who heard it sing What has this creature accomplished, in its short little life Is it leaving behind a family, children, a wife It's chirping ceased as it went to sleep Leaving me there, alone to weep Love You In the morning hours Before the sun will shine I am happy to know that you love me so That we are together And to know that you are mine Rarest flower, I will shower you with all the love of my heart I always grow sadder, with every passing hour Every second we're apart If this love ever fades, or starts to ever dim I will remember the girl that I feel in love with And I hope you will remember that boy, please remember him I don't think our love can pass It has too strong of a will I will grow old with you, and be happy to Because I love you still And when the darkness surrounds me I'll know that you'll be there Nothing can ever hurt us Because of the love we share Whoever knew that love could be Such a beautiful melody A song that echoes through the ages Just because you are here with me Now, when we must be parted It will only be for a while Before we are once again together And see each others smile Thoughts of You Angels that light the darkness cannot compare to the light you give The sweetest sounds of the heavens, are never as captive The beauty of rolling green hills and all of the green isles Are not as beautiful as when you smile The fragrant smell of the sweetest perfume Cannot compare to you, the flower abloom The rain that falls caused by the cloud with tears Will have no choice, but to disappear There are no more dark clouds, but only sunny days to live Angels that light the darkness cannot compare to the light that you give Memories of the Past I remember, when we first met You lit up my life and I never felt so good The missing piece was finally in place Everyone could tell I was happy I had such a smile on my face Those days are gone, now that you went away You've gone to a place I can't go How could you leave me this All alone and I know I won't be the same The nights are dark Without you The wind is so cold Without you arms to keep me warm I never thought that this day would come so fast I'm all alone again Just me and my memories Days and years keep on passing But my thoughts are with you in the past Under the shade by the weepin willow It was always too good to last The days in the sun We used to go running through the trees Those were the happiest days of my life I will always cherish those memories The nights are dark Without you The wind is so cold Without you arms to keep me warm I never thought that this day would come so fast I'm all alone again Just me and my memories Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
