Jack_Bauer 1 Posted October 11, 2003 There were a few ships named: Comm chatter names the Bozeman (Kelsey Grammer provided the voice of Bateson), the Endeavour, the Madison, and the Lexington. Other ships named by the Encyclopedia: Thunderchild, Appalachia, Budapest, Yeager, and maybe a couple others.
trekzone 0 Posted October 12, 2003 the Thunderchild being the second prototype of the best class of ST ship ever....!!!!!!!!!!! and it was good to see continuity kept, the Bozeman would have ventured out too far, being old and all, so...it was good to see. Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted October 12, 2003 Thunderchild wasn't a prototype, it was an Akira-class ship. As for the Bozeman, was that the ship we saw flying near the Defiant, or was that a Miranda-class ship?
trekzone 0 Posted October 13, 2003 the Bozeman was a Miranda-class........the Thunderchild was the FIRST official Akira, being NCC...my bad, it was the U.S.S. Akira that was the prototype.
Jack_Bauer 1 Posted October 13, 2003 Technically, the Bozeman is a Soyuz class ship, basically a refit Miranda.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted October 13, 2003 the Bozeman was a Miranda-class Nope, it was Souqze-class, similar to the Miranda-class.
8247 0 Posted October 13, 2003 I'm sure I'm not the first to spot this, but when the Borg cube exploded, it took out a Federation ship as well.
trekzone 0 Posted October 13, 2003 yeah, Akira wasnt it?! ok, geez......lol! miranda - soyuz...same ship
3 of 7 0 Posted October 13, 2003 I'm sure I'm not the first to spot this, but when the Borg cube exploded, it took out a Federation ship as well. Really? I'll look for that the next time I see the movie. :) :)
Jack_Bauer 1 Posted October 13, 2003 Ok yeah Soyuz and Miranda are basically the same but I like to be technical. Also, yeah there is a Federation ship destroyed by the cube's explosion, but I think its a Steamrunner class (again being technical) but an Akira does fly by the screen after the explosion. I'll look for that the next time I see the movie. :) It's to the left towards the bottom of the cube. There's another one near to the top of the cube too, I think. I'm pretty sure about that. prometheus 0 Posted October 23, 2003 (edited) What's the point in asking 'what you can spot' when you have gone ahead and named them all? Anyway, at the battle of Wolf 359, I think there was also some 'kitbashing' going on, with the USS Firebrand, with only one warp nacelle! trekzone 0 Posted October 24, 2003 yeah, kitbashing is common...you know the tugs from DS9 "Rocks and Shoals" that was a kit bash of the Galaxy, Soverign and a few other classes (some were Cardy...) i think
