LouiseTrek 0 Posted October 22, 2008 In reaction to an advert on buses in London for Christianity, that claimed anyone who didn't believe in God was going to hell, a campaign has been launched to buy adverts on 30 buses with the slogan "There's probably no God... Now stop worrying and enjoy your life!" Full Story This fundraising effort was started yeasterday, with a target set of £5,500 to pay for an advert on 30 buses. They reached the target just after 10am (with a generous £5,500 from Richard Dawkins), and the current total stands at £60,000. Pretty amazing for about 36 hours worth of fundraising. KIMIMELA 1 Posted October 22, 2008 OK, I don't believe in God, but that does not make me "evil" as some people say.
Theunicornhunter 2 Posted October 23, 2008 The adverts on the buses didn't claim people were going to hell - websites, to which links were provided, did I don't believe in the either/or heaven/hell afterlife but I do believe in an afterlife. IMO, believing that there is no greater purpose to life and when we die we're dust is just as depressing.
Bethlehem 7 Posted October 23, 2008 I believe in both, but find it absurd that some Christians think they can scare people into believing.
