spy pictures from Star Trek XI

I hope those uniforms are Enterprise crew uniforms and not StarFleet, for the purposes of continuity. The star symbol only became the symbol for all of StarFleet after The Motion Picture...

I see they are rewriting history to include seatbelts.

As reported by BBC Radio 1, in an interview with host Chris Moyles, Abrams discussed Star Trek canon and why certain things are in the film or not in the film. "There are no seatbelts [on the Enterprise]," he said. "You have to honor the canon of 'Star Trek.' Where do you draw the line? There are certain things that you want to be consistent about."

Those seatbelts are on a shuttlecraft not the Ent. Are seatbelts on shuttlecraft Canon or not, I'm not sure. I believe they might have been referred to (but not shown) at least once, in Galileo 7. Someone, I think Scotty, barks an order to "...get strapped in..." ?

Whether or not that happened or not though isn't going to be enough to make me disown this movie, I won't care if it breaks some piddly-butt canon point; I'm in it for the story.
