Now that's an eye-popping thong.

A 52-year-old California woman is suing lingerie giant Victoria's Secret, charging she was hit in the eye by a decorative metallic object that flew off a thong she was trying on.

Macrida Patterson, a traffic officer for the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, claims her cornea was severely damaged in the underwear mishap.

Patterson's lawyer, Jason Buccat, told thesmokinggun.com that a "design flaw" with the skimpy garment is to blame.

Patterson was hurt last May while trying on a "low-rise v-string," which is part of the Victoria's Secret "Sexy Little Thing" line, according to the suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

She said the accident caused her to miss several days of work.

Buccat said the the injury Patterson suffered will affect her "the rest of her life."

The v-string is a variant to a G-string and is popular because it eliminates panty lines.

Victoria's Secret officials asked Patterson if they could examine the garment and the allegedly defective decorative piece that hit her, but she rejected their request on the advice of her attorney.

Seriously, most 52 year old women should NOT be wearing thongs.........

Okay, let's think of the physics of this - for a metallic object to be able to do such damage the thong had either to be moving at a high rate of speed before the object separated or the object had to be attached in a manner that stored energy such as a spring that released energy on separation - neither of which makes much sense.

And yeah, gotta agree with Kor on that.

Yeah don't wear a thong if your that old :o And if this accident is going to affect her for the rest of her life how fast was this metal thing travelling? At warp speed come on Victoria's secret can easily get out of that.

The fact that she wouldn't let anyone at Victoria's Secret examine the undies sounds suspicious. Maybe she was playing with it and caused the accident herself.

Although some women in their 50s still look good, I'm 55 and wouldn't even consider wearing a thong. 4.gif

BWT, how would anyone know whether or not a woman in her 50s was wearing thong underwear? :o

Depending on the pants they're wearing and the size of the 52 year old it is sometimes painfully obvious.

*******

But in all fairness this is a different thing than being sexy - you don't have to be a half naked, anoxeric teenage girl to be sexy. Fortunately for all of us - charm, personality, and hygiene can help keep you attractive to the right people.

But it does help. Maybe not the anorexic part, since anorexics tend to have small breasts, but the rest tends to apply.

OK, I need to amend what I said earlier. Anyone over 50 shouldn't wear a thong, particularly if you are a guy.
