Well they explained wht he went back to his home planet really good on Family guy just now

 

Superman went to peek @ lois Naked with his Xray Vision but when he did that he saw the baby in the belly, Dr. Pepper shot out of my nose when they showed that!

I never understood how he could go back to his home planet. Didn't Krypton blow up?

it probably takes 5 years to get there and back. Remember on the movie how much he aged when he went from just Krypton to Earth? And that was just a one way trip

He was a LOT younger than 5 years old when he arrived on Earth!
