trekzone 0 Posted August 23, 2003 Background info: As i understand it, subspace is supposed to allow you instantenous travel (com links, fast). Question: With that in mind, why didn't Voyager find a way to open a subspace corridor???
Captain Bolivar 0 Posted August 23, 2003 They didn't open a sub space corridor because it is beyond their capabilities. This is the same reason they didn't open a trans-warp corridor, the same reason they could not continue using slip-stream technology etc.
mj 7 Posted September 6, 2003 There was an episode where they used another race's subspace corridors briefly, but in the end the races fighting over the subspace corridors proved hostile, and Voyager had to continue on in normal space.
Capt.Vash 0 Posted September 25, 2003 ahh while this is true even subspace isnt instantaus... i mean all sorts of communication take like a month to reach voyager from base so while it would save them its not like *poof* hey were home
