bearded ape 0 Posted July 16, 2007 sometimes people seem to act condescending towards family's that have a lot of kids, so i was just wondering how many constitutes to many, and how many kids were in your guys family's when you where growing up.
Gummy 0 Posted July 16, 2007 I've got two and I think that any more than that is a lot. I come from a large family (6 total kids) and back then, that was the norm. Not anymore.

jadziaezri 0 Posted July 16, 2007 how do you want me to reply? My family consisted of myself, two brothers and a sister until I was 16 and a half. Then my parents decided to have two more daughters and now they are considering fostering a foster child. So is it now or then??
Wishfire 2 Posted July 16, 2007 I'm an only child. In my opinion, more than three is too much.
Theunicornhunter 2 Posted July 16, 2007 It depends - one is too many if you're letting the state pay for it. If you're working and supporting your family and can emotionally and financially handle several children then how much is too many depends on your health and finances. That's really a personal issue. Stephen of Borg 2 Posted July 16, 2007 (edited) a girl I graduated high school with was about number 13 out of 16 kids, all biological with the same mom and dad I also know a woman who is among 23 kids, so six isn't anything shocking compared to the people I've known. Wishfire 2 Posted July 16, 2007 My wife is from a rather large family. Besides her, there's five girls (her older sister died) and one boy (the youngest, who also died). Come to think of it, I have almost a dozen aunts and uncles from my mother's side...

Lady Britannia 0 Posted July 17, 2007 (edited) Barring extreme circumstances, when you have more children than you can provide for and raise properly, that's too many. Edited July 17, 2007 by Lady Britannia
