Timothy Dalton--The Underated Bond?

Recommended Posts

Before seeing Casino Royale, my favorite Bond was Timothy Dalton for sure. Licence to Kill is my favorite movie of his, and it is just a shame that he didn't do more. The Licence to Kill theme is still my favorite Bond song as well, and you see the video here .

Timothy Dalton was a great Bond. Very serious and a breath of fresh air after silly Roger Moore. Its too bad he decided to quit Bond after only making two movies.

OK, guess which one doesn't belong:

Sean Connery: Silly

Roger More: Silly

Timothy Dalton: Not Silly

Pierce Bronsan: Silly

The new guy: Don't know yet.

Can we accept that part of being Bond is being silly?

The only silly Bond I know of is Moore. I don't believe the others were. The Moore films just got more comedic as they went on. Thats what I meant by silly.

Well, none of the Roger Moore movies were written by Ian Flemming. That might account for the *extra* sillyness. (Let's be honest, they reached almost Adam West-Batman campy sometimes.) But the others I mentioned were still sillier than Dalton.

I've always loved Gladys Knight. Although I've never seen this Bond Movie, I am sure that my youngest has.

He's seen every one of them, except Casino Royale.
