Theunicornhunter 2 Posted August 14, 2003 Thought this was interesting. Discusses what policy should direct us when we do find life beyond our planet. It soes refer to the prime directive CNN
roguedawg 0 Posted August 16, 2003 An Interesting debate.I personally think that until we learn to take care of Mother Earth(and we are a long way away from being that mature),then we have no business mucking about on other worlds. If non-intelligent lifeforms are found on Mars(or Europa,or anywhere),then certainly steps should be taken to limit the amount of damage we cause to them by our presence. However, they're presence should not halt our efforts to study and better understand the world they inhabit,or other worlds. Stelfan 0 Posted August 18, 2003 I just hope we don't meet any other intelligent life in a few centuries, just look how we treat other life on our own planet, and how we treat others of our own kind.. :)
