Has anyone seen this movie - I heard it was made by the same people that did Napolean Dynamite. Was this one any good?

no, it was disappointing and I'm a fan of both Jack Black and Napoleon Dynamite. The acting was good, but the movie doesn't live up to any hype it has. It's been a while since I have seen it, but it was one of the least liked movies of the year for me

I rented this today - OMG, I loved it. Of course I also rented Talladega Nights (brain freeze I guess) and just about anything would be good after that really, really awful cinematic torture.

 

I still think I would have enjoyed this movie - yes it had a simple light hearted plot, aside from some flatulence it wasn't particularly vulgar or offensive and no foul language. I could watch this again and I wouldn't be hesitant to recommend it.

 

I would not recommend it to people who like lots of action, special effects, sex, sarcastic, rude or crude humor, or foul language 'cause this movie doesn't have it. Obviously not for people who like deep, complex plots.
