Armageddon, and Deep Impact...

I voted for ' Deep Impact '

 

Armageddon, which may I say I enjoyed, was your run of the mill Hollywood feel good movie, laden with special effects and heroes. Deep Impact on the other hand really got to grips with the human side of it all, fears, feelings, sacrifice and family. Deep Impact has two meanings in this respect, the first is the obvious one and the other is the deep impact it has on peoples lives.

 

They were both enjoyable films but in different ways

I won't vote at the moment, I'll have to watch Deep Impact first. I think I saw it once but can't remember anything from it. Armageddon was an "ok" movie though.

I voted Deep Impact.Armageddon was Ok but Deep Impact was just awsome!!!The effects were just alot more relalistic and better looking.But most of all I liked it cause it DIDNT HAVE A HAPPY ENDING!!!!!!!!!The asteroids hit the earth and there was nothing anybody could do about it!!ha ha ha ha :devil:.I love movies with endings that arent happy.Terminator 3 is a good example.Nuclear Armageddon happened and millions died and there was nothing they could do about it.I love that:devil:.

Deep Impact. DI had a better story. I walked out of the theater for Armageddon it stunk.

I'm in the minority here I guess,although I liked "Deep Impact" very much I voted for "Armageddon". I own both of these videos and watch them every now and then. I think the reason I like "Armagaddon" so much is I found the humor to be very funny and also I will admit I cried a bit when the little boy was watching the TV and he pointed to one of the astronaughts and says "Mommy,its that salesman" and the mother see's its her ex-husband and hugs the child saying "No thats your daddy" (I may have been paraphrasing here,but you get the gest)

 

All in all they are both films that I would recommend to anyone.

Deep Impact.A bit more realistic.Not,I suppose,that either of the films solutions would have worked.Lets face it,if an asteroid or anything similar is heading our way......goodbye life! :unsure:

I liked deep impact better it dealt more with what the people on earth were doing and not what they were doing in space. Also when I worked at the movie theater people that were working their during deep impact said people called an asked if deep impact was a porn.

i thouroghly enjoyed both movies. arm, is the most entertaining, but deep impact was a much more human movie, showing the human factor, and emotions involved in such a dilema. so i voted di

I liked DI better, more realistic and I've never really liked Hollywood movies like Armageddon..
