Tank 0 Posted April 4, 2003 The term "red shirts" was started with TOS when the security officers always wore red. I think starting with TNG the term should have been changed to "gold shirts" but it just doesn't have the same ring to it. Also now that we have Enterprise we should change the term to "red stripes" but for that to have any effect they are going to have to start letting Enterprise crew members kick the can from time to time.
