Who has passed Drivers ED? I just passed the class today at summer school.

 

 

What is the test like when you go and take it?

For the driving part...listen carefully and do exactly what they say. For the written ... you could probably find sample questions on the CHP website.

I managed to pass the written part by leafing through the manual while waiting in line at the BMV - not too tough. I suppose you depend on where you live. In Michigan, they give licenses to practically anyone. In Ohio, the test is a bit tougher, and if you don't pass, they TAKE your out-of-state license away! In Tokyo, Japan, you have to prove that you have a parking place to get a license....

That's what I did too. :biggrin: Never took a Drivers ED class, just drove around in my boyfriends car till I figured it out.

I passed drivers Ed last year and got my license in Febuary.As far as the written goes i just skimmed over the book.Most of it is common sense.The driving test was a little stressful cause i didnt want to screw up but it was pretty easy.

I refused to take Driver's ED (long story). Now that I'm 19 and almost down studing the Driver's ED book inside out, all I have to do is take the written test, get a permit (without a set perriod of time), and when I feel I'm ready, take the driving test.

 

Answer me this, for those who live in NC, USA, how many questions are on the written test?

I took Drivers Ed as a junior in high school, I went into the class kicking and screaming as I didn't want to ever drive or get a car. Well, I did really well, and got my permit and that started the driving practice part of the class. I did well in that too though the car was a little big for me(a Ford Tempo, and at the time I was barely 4' 11"..I am now 5'1"). I did the driving test around six months after I got my learner's permit(1996), I got my car in July of 1998(after graduation) and have been driving ever since. Yes I did change my view of driving as you can tell....though I drive my family nuts, as I am obsessed with driving at or a couple of miles below the speed limit.
