This is explained away as Vulcans having copper-based blood. On the outside, this seems logical... Copper, when it oxidizes, turned green. (For example, look at the Statue of Liberty. It's made of copper, and has turned green.) However, basic biology shows that creatures with copper-based blood do not have green blood. Horseshoe crabs, for example, have copper-based blood. However, when their blood oxidizes, it turns blue. Is this a Trek error? (If they didn't know that copper-based blood turns blue when exposed to exygen back in the 60's, I won't blame them.
