The sixties must have been an amazing time to live through, especially as a young person.

I just missed them by a year or so.

That decade ushered in a lot of changes for society. IMO, not all of them for the betterment of mankind. But many of them were (as with the Civil Rights movement).

The music was unbelievable.

Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Credence Clearwater Revival, Jim Morrison (not to mention Sam & Dave, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, etc) ...I love them all, and own all their albums on CD (or casette tape).

I think the 1960s will always inhabit a unique spot in history. What other decade was comparable?

I watched the PBS special on Bob Dylan last night.

Good show.

The 60s sound so cool! I love 60s art, the movies and some music. I missed the Star Trek start, I grew up in the late 80s. 1988, actually.

I haven't seen the show, but I loved the 60's (I was born in 1953)! It was the most challenging, interesting, and exciting decade that I've experienced. All other decades pale in comparison. :assimilated:
