I was thinking... what if we were to take the top 3 (or 4) avatars in a few days, and have them compete for the award. That way, more people would get a chance to decide the final winner rather than having the votes so spread out (and yes, I came up with this idea before I lost the lead. lol).

Just a thought; it doesn't matter to me.

Good idea Ace but it's kinda late in the game to change the groundrules for this particular contest, changes now might cause dispute. Then again now that you've brought it up, not changing them could lead to dispute.

Just to clarify, AE, if you go back and look at the nominations thread and this one... there were no ground rules .

It would be up to LotB and yourself. Like I said, it was just a thought. When and if it's used makes no difference to me (though if we end up with a tie, you may have little choice).

As for the possibility of a tie happening; a tie-breaker poll has always been an option since we started having contests - we just never had need for one so far.

Sorry about that. If it makes you feel any better; mine was not nominated either.

 

Borg I too agreed it was a good idea, just not for this particular contest because it was not agreed upon beforehand. I think everyone can see the logic of that.

 

A second round of elimination (or more) is defiantly something to keep in mind for the future contests.

 

This poll will close and a winner (or a tie-breaker) will be announced on Friday July 22nd.

maybe next time. they can be divided into two categories best trek related and best non trek. that way those who have a trek related avatar isn't going up against a non trek one. just a thought.
