Stephen of Borg 2 Posted November 22, 2006 The Enterprise has to stop an alien cloud from eating a planet populated by millions of people. The worst part of this episode is that it is almost dull. There are many times I wasn't even paying attention due to the lack of a good story. It is your basic sci-fi romp, an alien is heading towards Earth, so Spock is needed to communicate with the being before it does something it will unknowingly do. The episode is alright, I suppose, but it is not that exciting. There are some parts that capture interest for a little while, but then it just seems to start dragging again. Overall, it's alright, but definitely not the best in the series.
youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted April 26, 2007 Gave it a 3. Yeah, run of the mill. The saving graces of this episode were the inputs and observations of the crew, how Scotty managed to get the ship repowered again, and the exchanges involving Kirk and Bob Wesley on Mantilles. Those gave the episode the lift it needed.
GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted August 17, 2008 I gave it a 4. Eps featuring cloud creatures gone bad have always been for me an entertaining time.
