Harry's extreme love for an alien woman challenges the Prime Directive, Janeway's opinion of him, and his rank. Oh lordy no! NOT HARRY'S RANK! What would Harry do if he weren't an ENSIGN anymore! In the end Harry ends up leaving her after some terrorist activity and he lives with the pain of a broken heart and speculating what he would have done if his rank had been compromised.

4. A good episode about love and loss. What makes this episode really good is how much chemistry Harry and Tal have. This story would fall apart if they weren't believable, and they are! It just shows how great they are as actors. Harry Kim doesn't get that many episodes, so it is good to see one about him again.

I know Janeway was sympathetic towards him; he was like a son to her, and she wanted him to be happy, knowing as well, that he'd suffered so hard from the seperation from not only Libby, but of course his parents.
