Stephen of Borg 2 Posted October 14, 2005 Shran helps the Enterprise discover where the prototype weapon is being tested Like I always say, an episode that involves Shran and the Andorians is always interesting, and this is yet proven again with "Proving Ground". One of the coolest parts of PG is when the anamolies go through the ship. Good episode **** out of *****
youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted June 28, 2007 3, but a weak one. Actually, the episode itself wasn't so bad as the direction it makes it look like the show is going to go in. Now the Andorians enter the expanse. And they make it sound like they're gonna have no trouble breaking out of it. Maybe I'll be proven wrong, but this just makes the whole thing weaker, imo. Schran was wonderfully performed as usual, especially when he masqueraded as a miner. Reed and Talas had a nice dynamic to them that makes you wonder what will happen in later episodes. Nice standoff at the end, too. But this whole Xindi plot seems to be dragging along. Without seeing anything from Season 4 yet, this plot drags as if the show was going to last longer than TNG. GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted September 16, 2007 A good ep. Shran is fascinating. I liked the cooperation between Shran and the NX-01 crew, but it was cool to know that there was more to this than met the eye.
