Another great first season episode. Shatner did a wonderful job portraying the good and bad sides of Kirk. The rape scene with Rand was also very risque for the time. I'm surprised they got away with it on TV. I don't remember but has anybody ever figured out why they just didn't send a shuttle down to get the stranded crewmen?

This was a ok episode but I thought there could have been a bit more evil in the evil side of Kirk something that was not portrayed much

there is no denying it, Shatner's the man! Some of the performance by Bill comes off as funny, but it is entertaining none-the-less. Who can forget the cry "I want to live!!! I want to live!!!" Awesome, 5 stars
