-I'm really dreading this upcoming snowstorm. It wreaks havoc with my business.

 

- I'm pretty bummed out about some news I've heard. I had this guy working for me for about 7 years until he thought it was a good idea to start smoking crack. Then he started missing time and generally doing a pretty bad job. So after giving him about a million chances to improve, I fired him. Now I hear that he had a heart attack and had a pacemaker installed. On top of that, he's now homeless and living in a tent in the woods. I really feel bad for this guy. It just shows how crack can truly ruin someone's life. A year and a half ago, this guy had his own apartment, his own vehicle and worked 2 jobs. Now look at him....

- Lucked out this morning with the weather. Not a drop of snow came down even though they predicted 4-6 inches. We are supposed to have freezing rain tonight. I hope they are wrong about that too.

 

- Finally got around to paying my taxes. I wrote the IRS a check for about $25,000. I hope they're happy.. :blink: . I should have gone with my original plan and sent it to them in pennies..........

 

-I spent some time yesterday calling around the local colleges. My son Eric wants to take a calculus course this summer and I need to see if the credits will transfer to the University Of Maine.

 

- I also spent some time yesterday getting a ticket fixed. One of my drivers got a repair ticket on one of the company vans. It was because a tail light was out. Naturally, he didn't tell anyone about the ticket... . Then when I finally found out about it, he had lost the ticket. So I had to wait until I got a suspension notice for the van. Then I had to take the van to the State Police and have them check the van out and lift the suspension. All for a stupid tail light!

 

- I ordered a dozen red roses to be delivered to my wife at her work tomorrow. The only problem is that they are calling for horrible weather. The florist said that in that case, they would deliver it on Thursday. Thats a real buzzkill for Valentine's Day, isn't it?

 

- Went to the gym yesterday and worked out for about 90 minutes. Came home and collapsed.

Okay, so listen to this story about my night...it explains why I'm still up at 9 in the morning.

 

So, my buddies and I were drinking last night, and it was all good fun, well, everyone passes out but me basically. I start watching a movie with my buddy and fooling around on my computer, well next thing I know, he's asleep and it's like 6 in the morning. I realize in my half still drunken state, that since it's before sunrise, I can hopefully get a chance to see Saturn. Well, I know how to climb unto the roof of my house through one of my windows. Granted I do this all the time when I'm sober or drunk and even when it's raining, and I have never hurt myself. Well, this morning was different. I got up there just fine, and then realized that it was overcast so there was no chance of my getting to see Saturn, so I decided to climb back down and go to bed, but I get back down and realized I forgot my cigarettes on the roof. I'm climbing back up there, and I put my knee on the gutter like I always do, and my leg slips. I had been lounging around in my room, so I wasn't wearing pants anymore, I had changed into some shorts for the night....exposed knee and a gutter don't mix well. I now have about a 4 inch gash in my leg, and everyone is passed out drunk. I get in my car and drive myself to the ER, and get about 10 stitches, and my knee wrapped in so much gauze that I can't even attempt to walk. And now, I'm sitting in my bed with a passed out drunk guy next to me, a bottle of pain killers, and a jacked up knee.

:) Wow, Lexi! Sorry about the leg! I'm impressed that after gashing your leg, you were still able to get in the house and actually drive yourself to the ER! I can just imagine the looks on the ER staff as they watched a drunken bleeding girl staggering toward them! Hope the leg heals up fast... :)

 

Wait....did you have hairy legs at the ER and gross the doctor out?....... :)

 

As for me, after I left the chat, I...uh....attended to my wife and then went to bed. Obviously not as exciting a night as you had but still pretty good for me!

A lot has gone on the last few days. Some of you who read my log may be familiar with the story of my ex-karate teacher. He was accused of getting oral sex from a 15 year old girl and was sentenced to 4 years in jail. Although I certainly don't condone what he did and I feel that the jail term is just, I also cannot just instantly dismiss the 10 year relationship I had with this man. We were pretty tight. As a result of his conviction, his studio had to close down, leaving his wife and 5 children with no means of support. His wife has since opened another karate studio at another location which she runs with one of her daughters. I went to visit the other night to see how they were doing. When I got there, there was this guy there that had been a student at the former studio. He was passing out flyers telling people not to go there because of what her husband had done. My feeling is this: Her husband is in jail and has nothing to do with this studio. She has every right in the world to make a living. I got into an argurment with this jerk and one thing led to another and I was forced to kick his butt. The police were called. When they got there, I had the guy on the ground with my foot on his throat. They handcuffed us both and put us in separate police cars. Thank goodness my former teacher's wife came out and stood up for me or I probably would have been taken off to jail. As a result, they let us both go and told the jerk with the flyers to leave. Needless to say, my wife was NOT too happy with me. After thanking my teacher's wife, I offered to do anything I could to help her with the new studio. I may even teach there part-time. I don't know yet.

 

Yesterday, I got a letter from the IRS. They are telling me that I owe them $17,000 from 2005! You would thing that they would be pretty busy right about now with the 2006 tax returns than to worry about 2005! I called my tax guy and he assured me that he could fix this. I hope he can.

 

Anyway, thats my week so far and its only Wednesday!

my week has not been that great either.

the nursing home i work in is turning into a

psych hospital.we got 4 new residents this week all are male.

on my unit i take care of all the men plus 6 women. 17 in all.

they do not sleep or walk very well have to keep a eye on them all the time.

well last night while looking after one of my other charges one fell.

might have broke his hip not known yet.

My boss just called me. First words out of her mouth was how

could you let this happen. Wrong words Wrong time.

and her quilties as a unit manager. I was :disgust:

Am suspended Till furtere notice.

Called my union filed 5 griveinces

Kor,my avatar is what I look like after a few too many, but it's not me. It's a picture I drew of my boy when he was passing out for the second time, since he woke up still drunk and decided to drink more...stupid boy. But yeah, Sunday when I could do anything besides lay around, I decided to rediscover my talent for art. I hadn't drawn or painted anything in about 3 years...and I think it turned out decent. Over the past few days, all I have been doing is drawing, it's like I've gone crazy.
