Well Kor, if you need it, I'll come down and take you out to eat and have a few brews with you. :nono:

Sounds good! Come on down when the Ravens are playing the Steelers. We can go to Damons and watch it!

Ok, November 26th sounds good. I'll wear my Steelers jersey and hopefully not get beer poured on :)

That won't happen. Damon's is a pretty neutral place where a lot of fans from other teams gather because they show every game on one of their big screens. I've never seen anything bad happen to someone wearing a jersey from another team. You might get razzed a bit but thats about it.

Meanwhile, whats been going on with me? First of all, since I've decided to go back to church every week, I've been a little less depressed. It seems to help. (Validus, please don't preach to me about this!)

I'm still short-handed at work. I interview people several days a week. The amazing thing is that I seem to have to hire about 5 people for the same job to find one that actually shows up on their first day! This never ceases to amaze me. These people call you up all excited about wanting to work. You tell them all about the job. They are eager to get started and then don't show up for their first day!

Those of you who have been following the (mis)adventures of one of my drivers named Bill, he recovered from being stabbed only to suffer a heart attack. He had to get a double by-pass which he is recovering from now.

I went to this great show yesterday. It was a national act called "Rain" and this was their first time in Maryland. They put on a Beatles tribute show and they are incredible! They look, act, sing and play just like the actual Beatles. I was blown away by how perfect they got down all of the mannerisms, speech patterns and body language of the real Beatles. The way they sang also was spot on. If you closed your eyes, it would sound just like the recorded Beatle songs. They used the same vintage instruments, amps and such.

I really enjoyed it and would encourage any Beatles fans to check this show out if they come to your area. They have a website if you want to check it out.

Well, gotta go. Time to go to my office and do more interviews............

:)

As I figured would happen, taking 20 credits this semester has proved to be too much for my son, Eric. We both decided that it would be best if he dropped his calculus course and maybe take it again in the summer.

Work is getting really stressful. We get super busy when the holidays approach. I never really get a chance to enjoy the holidays. I'm always working. Right now, I have 1 driver in the hospital, 1 on vacation , another one going on vacation tomorrow and yet another one still recovering from surgery. If I could just stay fully staffed for awhile, it would be a lot easier.

Someone asked me why I haven't mentioned karate lately. Its a sad story. My Karate instructor was convicted of getting "Oral gratification" from a 15 year old girl. He's now doing 4 years in jail. I was really shocked when this happened as we were pretty close. I taught part-time at the school. I realize that what he did was wrong and he probably deserved to go to jail but I still feel sorry for him. The school had to close and I don't know how his wife and 5 daughters are going to survive while he's in jail. I was all set to test for my 2nd degree black belt test. I guess I'll never do it now.

I'm still going to church every week. I've been doing it on the sly and not letting my wife know about it. I want to be sure that I have the willpower to go every week. It seems as though I have and now I'm going to approach my wife about going with me.

Wow. It seems that I post in every thread except my own log!

Anyway, my friend and I drove down to Washington DC to see this really awesome concert. It was at a little club called the Black Cat Club which looked as though it was a converted warehouse. We saw 5 bands there. We saw the Hall Monitors, a local band that writes its own stuff, mostly punk rock. Then we saw The Charms, a band from Boston with a really good female singer. After that we saw The Chesterfield Kings, a band from Arkansas with a really crazy lead singer who climbed up on th bar and did all sorts of crazy things while he was singing. Next up were the Supersuckers, a band from Seattle that really rocked. Topping off the night was the headliner....the fabulous New York Dolls!. This is a band that influenced the Sex Pistols and Kiss. They just reunited. They are a punk rock glam rock band. Some of the older members here might remember them. They were awesome. Overall, I had a really good time. Punk rock at its finest!

I had the worst luck this past weekend. I left the house to go to work on Sunday morning only to discover that someone had side-swiped my wife's van. Then this morning when I left for work, I discovered that someone had side-swiped my van! Whats the odds of that happening? I'm scared to leave the house!. :assimilated:

My day is NOT starting out well. This morning on my way home from work, I ran over a dog. It was a German Shepherd type dog and he just wandered into the middle of the street just as I got there. It was still very dark outside so I didn't see the poor thing until it was too late. I turned around to see if he was dead and he sure seemed to be. I called the police and told them. They told me they would take care of it. The worst part is that it happened right in front of an elementary school. I sure hope they remove the dog before the kids come to school.

Wow, sorry to hear you're having such bad luck, Kor. I hope it changes for the better soon! It's hard to function well when you're under pressure, which is the way your work situation sounds. Please take care of yourself!

Wow..Once again I've been posting everywhere EXCEPT my log........ :elephant:

So whats new?

- Work is going ok. I'm fully staffed at the moment although I know that won't last long.

- My car is almost finished!!!!! ...The only thing left to do is the front bumper and to install the interior!!!!

- Eric is doing well at school. He got all A's again last semester. This semester he is only taking 4 classes which I think is a good idea. He's been working pretty hard and he can use an easy semester.

- We went with some friends to Medieval Times a few weeks ago. What a great show! There are about 9 of them around the country so if you live near one I would fully recommend it.

- I'm getting my taxes done next week. I'm dreading this. I haven't mailed a cent to the government this whole year so I"m probably going to have to pay out the butt!

- I'm trying to help my in-laws out. My father-in-law had a stroke some years back and its getting harder for him to get around. He can barely walk. So I'm going to surprise him by having a ramp installed in his house and I bought him one of those hoveround chairs so he can get around. Can't wait to spring it on him!

Thats it for now. I'll try to post in here a little more regularly.

So Eric gets all straight A's....Is he still single by any chance? I could use a smart boy.

Eric is a pretty smart kid. He's in the honors program at the University of Maine and yes.......he is currently unattached......

- took a nap for about an hour

- took one of my vans to have the emissions checked

- went to the gym for about 2 hours

- came home and worked in my office some more until 6:00

- called a guy back for a 2nd interview for an opening that I have.

- played around on this site and some others for awhile

- had dinner and went to bed

Don't I have an exciting life?.........

Kor, I think you forgot the part, where you went out and got belligerently drunk, slept with several prostitutes and rob a bank, among many other sinful things.

You need some excitement in your life Kor. You work at home, pound a couple beers while you're at. Beer makes everything more exciting.

Thanks Kor, that's what I wanted to hear.

Btw, the reason why I was asking, is because one of my friends just got engaged and she's only 21 and I kept telling her she's dumb.....Tsunami isn't the brightest sometimes.

Kor37....37? Don't lie. You're not 37...not even close....maybe triple that and you might get close to your age....you dirty old man.

The 37 after my name was never meant to indicate age. I just had to pick a number because a few other people were already using the Kor name.....and yes.....I am really 111 years old..........
