Jim Phaserman 0 Posted January 18, 2005 Welcome, everyone, to the First Annual Presentation of the Jimmies, a totally useless awards ceremony recognising the best-and worst-in the NFL. The Jimmies are awarded after consulting with the four judges, who are: Myself-Head Judge and Presenter Gary Phaserman Our brother Tommy and our father, Robert. And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, the Jimmies.... For Best Performance By a Rookie Finalists: Ben Rothlesburger, Pittsburg Steelers; Ahmad Carrol, Green Bay Packers; Roy Williams, Dallas Cowboys. And the Winner is: Ben Rothlesburger, Pittsburg Steelers Ben Rothlesburger was chosen because of the success he enjoyed, leading his team to the Playoffs, and becomming only the second rookie to win a Playoff game since the Superbowl Era began. Worst Performance by a Rookie Finalists: Ely Manning, NY Giants; Nate Keading, San Diego Chargers; Joey Thomas, Green Bay Packers And the Winner is: Ely Manning, NY Giants Ely Manning was chosen because, unlike Ben Rothlesburger, he won only one game, after taking the starting job from Kurt Warner. The Giants had a better chance of making the Playoffs with Jimmy Johnson playing Quarterback. Best Quarterback Finalists: Payton Manning, Indianapolis Colts;Ben Rothlesburger, Pittsburg Steelers; Donovan McNabb, Philadelphia Eagles And the Winner is: Ben Rothlesburger, Pittsburg Steelers Sorry, D-Mack, Payton, but this rookie is on fire! Better watch it, folks, this kid can burn you. He doesn't play like a rookie, that's fo sho. and he's got a supporting cast that makes things happen for him. Worst Performance by a Quarterback Finalists: Ely Manning, NY Giants;Kurt Warner, NY Giants ; Chicago Bears Quarterbacks (All 4 of them) And the Winner is: Chicago Bears Chicago, It took you four quarterbacks to find one that worked, and you still suck! At least the Giants found a bad one in two!
