Some time after Princess Diana died I read an article that stated she had done more for the world than many "great" people of our day and that in fifty years she would be remembered while Einstein would be forgotten. I personally didn't think the author had a grasp on reality but I could be wrong.

IMO, Einstein made a much greater contribution; still I have to wonder whose name will show up in textbooks more?

Other thoughts?

Einstein, definitely was the greater contributor. He gave us some very important math formulas while Princess Diana... well, I do not even know what she contributed. There you go! LOL

I am going with Einstein. I do know that Princess Diana did lot of social work through out the world. She had charity events for AIDS to the homes and victims of land mines. She was one of first important person to publicly touch a person with AIDs. Back than there wasn't much information on AIDs and no knew how a person could get it in the first place. She went to countries of people who where victims of land mines and gave artificial limes. She did lot to help third world countries without asking anything in return.

Einstein. Even if they have found another great theory of physics besides relativity, he played a major part in getting the US to develop the A-bomb in WWII, and that is a key aspect of world history.

Einstein. While Princess Di did much work for the people of the world, there will be others after her. Einstein's contributions are one-of-a-kind, and, while they will pave they road for future advancements, there's no replacing or copying them.

Einstein helped us end WWII with his assisstance on the Manhattan Project. I don't know about you, but that is quite significant that he gave us the principles of relativity, which is the basis for modern physics!!
