Theunicornhunter 2 Posted November 21, 2004 I noticed in the Forge - one of the Star Fleet personnel was referred to as corporal. Well that's an Army/Marine's rank not Navy which is what Star Fleet is based on. I know the Maco's had army ranks but they weren't Star Fleet - this guy was wearing a Star Fleet uniform. Did I hear wrong or did anyone else notice?
VaBeachGuy 12 Posted November 21, 2004 I hadn't noticed it, but I was distracted a few times during the show. Do you remember about where it was in the episode? I have it TiVod
Theunicornhunter 2 Posted November 21, 2004 It's when Tucker is asking Phlox about the guard.
VaBeachGuy 12 Posted November 21, 2004 I just watched that, it was 29 minutes into the episode. I don't know if anyone else has been referred to as a corporal before or not, but there could be a distinction made because he's an embassy guard and in the US military it's the Marines that guard US embassies. I don't know it TPTB thought that deeply about it or not, but it could be "explained away" that way.
