Jim Phaserman 0 Posted October 7, 2004 The Monterey Bay Aquarium, arguably the most famous aquarium in the world (SeaWorld doesn't count, folks, sorry) added a new resident last month. she is 6 feet, 6 inches long and wieghs 65 pounds. she was caught in a fishermen's nest, and if you want me to shut up and tell you what it is, I will. She's a Carcharodon carcharias which means GREAT WHITE SHARK. Aquariums have difficulty keeping these sharks alive, but the Monty Bay Aquarium made sure she was eating and doing well before putting her in the tank. the Aquarium says if the Shark shows any problems with her new environment, she will be released immediately. for more info on the Great White, go to Greatwhite.org

Kyra_Ashleigh 0 Posted October 8, 2004 So cool! I love sharks, though I'm way too chicken to take a trip and get in the cage to see them up close!
Odie 0 Posted October 8, 2004 Kyra_Ashleigh, I agree with you. I won't apply step one toe in the cage.
