Just a passing thought... post-812-1092049970.gif:drool:

I was listening to George Noory Coast to Coast AM with Professor Kevin Warwick... The topic was: cybernetics...

Now then, I think robots (or somekind of artificial intelligence like it) might be inevitable...

(Assuming we'd still be alive long enough for it to occur, and we still focus on technology...).

I'm just curious... Who do you think will win?

Personally, I think it's more likely that the A.I. will triumph... Depending on how advanced they are...

The Cyborgs would eliminate us. But not before a huge battle we would nevergive up but in the end they will be to fast to strong for us. They dont need rest or food we do. they will win in the end.

Well it depends on the situations...

But probably the cyborgs if they could replicate themselves. That is what I'm counting on.

I got 5 answer's to call on if the Threat of Cybernetics gets out of hand. All my thinking example's is for the year 2030.

1. Create an advance virus with an ai that is smart enuf to evad firewalls etc

2. Start with Several large explosions around the Earth where the machine's primary structures or forces are (No nuclear, maybe something non nuclear) and then go in full scale as the robots are in disarray and either go down fighting or push them back using an assorment of energy weaponry or air strikes

3. Humans could start secret hidden colonies in the ocean and retake the land thru naval tactics, hell they could even deploy the SeaQuest DSV

4. Evacuate the planet to mars with escort from many fighter squadrons

5. Create the most advanced Ship/Cruiser/fighters to lead the way for the war against the machines equipped with multiple lock weaponry and high explosion output's

You could always use a positronic shockwave. That would eliminate all electricity...

The thing is that it is really difficult to create an A.I that can defeat the best human General. Real combat is not a simple matter of calculations as chess is ( at least for a computer chess is a matter of calculations ).

Furthermore, there would have to be robots of all kinds ( not just fighting ones ) like repair-bots, fuel-bots, scout-bots, artillery bots, aircraft-bots, naval-bots, space-bots, spy-bots. Without all of them in immense quantities they would be unable to do anything to human armies. Moreover, humans might be fragile but they are many and it is doubtful that there are the resources in order for billions of robots to be created and sustained. Finally, if the robots do want to take over the world ( like Brain ) they must do it quickly before U.S.A brings Star Wars strategic defence system online and the Russians develop the new intercontinental missile ( and we have not even brought in the nuclear weapons that WILL do damage, despite what is shown in Matrix. Even the hardest metal cannot withstand a nuclear explosion and Matrix is just a movie )

I agree. I think human ingenuity would win out in the end.

The robots will win. They can reproudce faster and dont have pity on people and will go against the rules of war and do stuff we have never thought of.

THATS HOW I WOULD TAKE THEM MECHANICAL BEASTS OUT!!!! THEY MAY SEEM HARSH BUT THEY'LL GET RESULTS.

That's if we program them to evolve or to construct. No construct has ever constructed anything else. The good thing is that our AI right now has the intelligence of an earthworm.... :dude:
