That was the weirdest migraine I've ever had. I felt totally fine, all of a sudden got the crushing pain to one side of the head, eyes felt like they were going to explode, all the normal migraine stuff. Sat in the dark holding my head for about 30 minutes, then the pain started to go away so I got back up and immediately got extremely nauseous and ended up in the bowing to the porcelain god for 10 minutes and now I feel totally fine, not even a dull ache. B) Usually after a migraine (that usually last much longer) I have a dull headache for days.

 

Spoke too soon, there's that dull headache. :)

Thanks guys, my head feels fine tonight. :o I'm just really tired. I finally fell asleep about 5:30ish and right away had one of those extremely realistic nightmares that creeps you out so bad you don't want to go back to sleep. Finally fell asleep about 7:00 this morning. :blink: I'm not staying up too late tonight.

Thanks. :unsure: My brother-in-law came over to use the computer and he got on his hands and knees with his flashlight and helped me look. He found it sandwiched in the office chair cushions. Thank god, these earings mean just as much to me as my wedding ring. *hugs BIL*

The Circuit Overseer is giving a special talk tomorrow, his last day visiting our congregation, and I'm too sick to go. Robert's going to record the talk for me but I wanted to say goodbye to him and his wife before they go to the next congregation. They just moved here from New York and they are such a sweet couple.

Thanks Robert's at meeting right now. They'll be back visiting our congregation again in a few months and their apartment is attached to our Kingdom Hall so I'm sure I'll run into them.

Thanks odie. :o A circuit overseer is basically a traveling overseer that visits all the congregations in his assigned circuit and helps them with the preaching work in their territory. It's always a special week of activity when the CO visits. I'll copy a more detailed explanation of the organizational structure of Jehovah's Witnesses in a spoiler if anyone is interested.

Their Worldwide Organization and Work

 

THERE are several links used in directing the work of witnessing in the more than 230 lands where it is being done. The overall direction comes from the Governing Body at the world headquarters in Brooklyn, New York. The Governing Body sends representatives each year to various regions worldwide to confer with the branch representatives in those regions. In the branch offices, there are Branch Committees of about three to seven members to oversee the work in the lands under their jurisdiction. Some of the branches have facilities for printing, some operating high-speed rotary presses. The country or area served by each branch is divided into districts, and the districts, in turn, are divided into circuits. Each circuit has in it about 20 congregations. A district overseer visits the circuits in his district in rotation. Two assemblies are held annually for each circuit. There is also a circuit overseer, and he visits each congregation in his circuit usually twice a year, assisting the Witnesses in organizing and doing the preaching work in the territory assigned to that congregation.

 

The local congregation with its Kingdom Hall is the center for telling the good news in your community. The areas under each congregation are mapped out in small territories. These are assigned to individual Witnesses who endeavor to visit and speak with the people in each home therein. Each congregation, consisting of from a few to some 200 Witnesses, has elders assigned to look after various duties. The individual proclaimer of the good news is the vital one in the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Every one of the Witnesses, whether serving at the world headquarters, in branches, or in congregations, does this field work of personally telling others about God’s Kingdom.

 

Reports of this activity ultimately reach the world headquarters, and an annual Yearbook is compiled and published. Also, a chart is published each year in the January 1 issue of The Watchtower. These two publications offer detailed reports of each year’s accomplishments in bearing witness to Jehovah and his Kingdom under Christ Jesus. In recent years about 14,000,000 Witnesses and interested people have attended the Memorial of Jesus’ death annually. Jehovah’s Witnesses spend over 1,000,000,000 hours a year proclaiming the good news, and more than 300,000 new ones are baptized. Literature placements total into the hundreds of millions of copies.

 

Now the personal log part. I still feel lousy and didn't sleep well at all because of another nightmare. Stupid nightmares. As soon as Robert gets home I'm going straight back to bed. Maybe I'll just sit in bed with some hot cocoa and read all day. That actually sounds really nice, I don't think the computer monitor is helping my headache much. Anyway, quick check of the boards and then he should be home by then.

I am freezing my tushy off! How do people live in cold climates? Brrrrr. I'm going to take a very hot shower and try to warm up and after that I'm going shopping with my sister.

Its only 48 and that's cold to you. You never make day in Buffalo during the winter. That is when snow is not the major problem. Especially when the temperatures are down 20s to the teens with wind chill factor below -30. Now that is want I called cold.

 

The really best way to dress for cold weather is to wear layers of loss cloths. Mostly shirt, sweeter, and jacket well do for you.
