Nervous because I have a message from my doctors office that he really needs to talk to me about my last physical.  :unsure: *deep breath* Ok, I'm calling him back.

Now I'm worried because Dr. Johnson isn't working today which means he called from home. The only other time he's ever called from home was when Paul was really sick and he called to check on how he was doing. Why would he call from home about my physical?? The nurse said she'd try to get a hold of him.

For those of you who read those posts in the mood star thread I thought I would explain what's going on. Keep in mind I don't know a whole lot right now, but I've talked to my doctor a couple times since then and there is a fairy decent chance that I'm in the very early stages of cervical cancer. I won't know for sure until I get the biopsy done. Right now if it is cancer (or pre-cancerous) it's early enough that he says we can very likely remove it all with no problems. He also said if I don't get it taken care of the prospects are not good, but obviously I'm going to do whatever's needed. Right now I'm just in a waiting period, it'll be a few weeks before I know exactly what I'm dealing with, but when I find something out I'll post it here. I'm in good spirits though. I'm doing a lot of research on this so I can be as informed as possible. Anyway, that's pretty much it, I just decided I might as well let the board in on all that's happening.

Robert's e-mailed me and called me 3 times to remind me to call my doctor today. :lol: Good lord. A little paranoid, but he's just worried.

I'm just ranting, feel free to ignore this.

 

I love doctors, adore them. It is beyond me how anyone could not like doctors. Anyone who dedicates their life to healing people and easing their pain has a special place in my heart. Without doctors god only know what condition I would be in a year from now. Or how many more miscarriages I would have without ever knowing the reason. I still bring home baked goodies to the doctor who delivered my children every couple of months just because I'm so grateful for the care he gave me when I was pregnant. With my second pregnancy I had no health insurance until I was several months into the pregnancy and he still made sure I made every prenatal appointment and gave me free prenatal vitamins every month. To this day he refuses to accept any payment for those months he treated me. My family doctor is just as wonderful. He's called me several times this week (a few times from his own home) just to see how I was feeling and comfort me and let me know all my options, and what's going to be going on if it is cancer, and what tests I'll be having. I guess it just really annoys me when people badmouth doctors. ^_^

It's Ok RC everyone needs to rant every now and again. I am fortunate to have one of those good Doctors also. I had been laid off from my last job and got another right away, but my insurance did not start until tomorrow. Our doctor was good enouph to give me free high-blood pressure medication, my wife is diabetic and he gave her free insulin and my daughter has asthman and he gave her free inhalers. That is alot of free medicine! However there are those doctors out there that if they saw you bleeding to death in a ditch would not do anything in fear of a lawsuit. It just depends on the person they are inside. For the most part I think most of them are good people. I hope you are feeling well and I'll continue praying for you. Have a good weekend. ^_^
