TransporterMalfunction 1 Posted May 26, 2004 I thought it would be interesting to see how people would rate Star Trek on a star rating basis, so here we are. Generally I have never rated a season on this system but after doing it myself it certainly brought up some interesting conclusions. For this post we are consentrating on the first season of the show. I propose that the rating system be as follows: ***** 5 stars: A classic and iconic show **** 4 stars: Not quite a classic but still a very good story and particular favourite *** 3 stars: Good but not one of the strongest stories ** 2 stars: Not great with clear weeknesses but still manages to be fun on some level * 1 star: Utter tosh, a poor story and one that I wouldn't care if I missed And here is my personal view on each of the stories from the first season of Star Trek: The Cage ***** The Man Trap ***** Charlie X *** Where No Man Has Gone Before ***** The Naked Time **** The Enemy Within ***** ("I wanna live!") I really don't mind how you want to lay out your post, personally I started the thread off with the episodes in season order because I think it is easier to view trends over the course of the season.
