How New Is New In Newbie?

Recommended Posts

OR is it determined by the number of posts? Anyone know? :unsure:

My policy has been this; when a newbie thread falls to the second page it gets moved to old new member messages forum. New membership fell off dramatically a short while back so during these leaner times of less new memberships I've been giving the threads time to reach 15 or 20 or so replies before moving them. (yes I am over due for moving some thank you.)

HUH? <_< What does THAT mean? I only asked if there was a time you use to determine if a member is a newbie or an established member, you know like 6 months or a year. A Time, AE. Or if it's by the number of posts.

<_< I answered the question, what's not to understand? Here it is ONE more time;

The "time" is how long it takes for a newbie post to fall off page one.

If too few newbie posts exists for a second page to exist then the "# of replies" (15 or 20) becomes the standard. Once a thread is moved outta here that person is passed beyond newbie status to ME.
