Not to spoil the mood but, it has nothing to do with mexican independance. I think i even found an article (quite by accident i might add) that states the mexicans don't recognize this so called "holiday". :lol: I was right i was right, turns out mexican independance day is in september, not may, and while i'm at it... Why do we celebrate a mexican holiday, anyway?

yes thats exactly what my spanish teacher told me. mexicans do not celebrate this and they dont think it is a holiday. It is just an american tradition to get drunk lol :lol:

I mean what significance does St. Patrick's Day have for Americans who don't have a drop of Irish blood in them? Nothing. Do we drink Guinness on that day anyway? Sure. Do we have a reason to? Who cares?
