Well, since I've had a little extra time on my hands I decided to see some movies I'd heard about but never had the chance to see. Warning, these are not action/adventure movies - a couple are even chick flicks. Kleenex recommended.

3. Divine Secrets of the Yaya sisterhood - movie was okay but the yaya part was a little silly to me

 

2. My Big Fat Greek Wedding - it was good - I would have seen it even without all the hype. Unfortunately, no movie (except LOTR) has ever lived up to the hype.

 

1. The Other Side of Heaven - my definite favorite and it reminded me how full life can be when you love people.

Mystery, Alaska - Russel Crowe- ice-hockey

 

 

Great Australian movies-

 

The Bank- the small bloke finally gives it to the bank!

The Interview- mystery

Lantana- a twisted and contorted storyline

The Castle- by Working Dog Productions- comedy about a small bloke fighting the establishment

The Dish- by same writers- Timbilla and Parkes Telescope roles in the moon landing- a bit of poetic licence used but it is a warm comedy

I've seen the dish - I liked it. Considering I live about dead center of nowhere it's amazing our Blockbuster has anything. I'll look for the others
