What are your views? Should Francis Ford Coppola have made a thirds Godfather film and what did you think of it?

I like the third Godfather movie. The movie was a Greek tragedy with a heavy Roman Catholic theme. Michael wanted to repeated all his sin, but his formal lifestyle made it impossible to be completely forgiven. In the end he lost everything that he treasure the most.

What do I think of the Godfather 3? Wake me up when it's over.

 

The first two were classics, which made the 3rd one such a downer.

 

I can deal with a slow-paced film if it is well done, which this one wasn't.

 

Sophia Coppola does NOT belong in front of a camera. Period. With the emotional range of a rock, she is without a doubt the worst actress I have EVER seen. I have seen porn actresses with more acting ability than Sophia.

 

The truly sad part is that she was the best thing in the whole movie.

if godfather 3 wasnt a godfather movie, people would say its alot better then they say, but it was kinda hard to live up to the 1st 2, and Butter Face, Sofia Coppola is the one that hurt the movie, I was actually glad to see her die in it, she annoyed me so much but still IMO the best trilogy ever made

I'm with Odie, I like the third movie. It is very tragic. Despite his best efforts, Michael Corleone just can't have redemption. The ending is just so well acted and the most tragic ending to a movie series I can think of.
