Trek-News-Talk!

I hope all of you enjoyed our last Trek-News-Talk chat room session with the BBK group. We are going to have another Trek-News-Talk session with another very special guest. This session will be held Sunday, April 18 at 2:00pm-EST. I'm not going to tell you who it is yet. I'll be posting a topic in the Star Trek Trivia forum where you can take a guess and maybe earn some trivia points.

But the guest will be announced soon.

So if you want to take a guess and earn a few trivia points check out this topic...

{edit}

The director of "Trekkies 2" will be our special chat room guest! Mr. Nygard was nice enough to accept my offer. I am looking forward to it!

I thoroughly enjoyed the chat with Roger Nygard. I don't usually visit chat rooms, but that event was fun! Will we have another special guest soon?

I thoroughly enjoyed the chat with Roger Nygard.  I don't usually visit chat rooms, but that event was fun!  Will we have another special guest soon?

Yes, I'm planning on more guests to come. [This] Sunday, we probably will have a few from http://www.hiddenfrontier.org. Basically --- it is an internet fanfilm

Here's a bit about it:

Basically Hidden Frontier is set in the Briar Patch

which is a nebula-like area of space where warp travel

is dangerous.  Our space station, Deep Space 12 orbits

Baku, a healing planet that was shown in Star Trek:

Insurrection.  The main focus of our show is the

starship Excelsior, which is assigned to the station

much like the Defiant was assigned to Deep Space Nine.

Our show's primary villan has been the Grey, a

mysterious alien race that lives in the Briar Patch,

though lately more attention has been given to other

subpolots including the occasional story about our gay

character.  We've recieved all kinds of varying

responses about that, and we're pretty used to averse

fan reactions!  For the most part, Star Trek fans have

been pretty accepting of the notion.  Our aim is to

present new ideas into the Trek universe, tell good

stories and have fun doing it!  We're just getting

into our 5th season now.  Let me know what other info

you might need.  There's also some summaries on our

website (episode download pages have summaries) and in

the About section.
