The Shiloh, as you can see, is significantly better armed than the Soveriegn class, and has a much larger hull, while it maintains a great similarity with the smaller vessel in many design elements.

Here's the USS Shiloh owner's manual type thing.

TO:          Commanding Officer, USS Shiloh NCC-78549

FROM:      Starfleet Command

Re:          USS Shiloh Technical Specifications

Shiloh is the first vessel of her class. Obvious are the resemblances to the vessels of the smaller Sovereign Class, and her armament. Twelve type XII phaser arrays and five torpedo tubes are mounted on the forward fire arc. Each of the Phasers has a lateral field of fire of no less than 150 degrees, and an elevation (or depression for ventral weapons) of not less than 150 degrees. Four of her forward torpedo tubes are fixed, with a fifth in a turret below the saucer, forward of the deflector dish. Aft armament consists of five fixed torpedo tubes and eight type XII Phasers. The ship’s total armament being greater than that of Sovereign.

Shiloh measures 685 meters from bow to stern, and 400 meters wide at her widest point. She has 32 decks and a crew compliment of 1,056 officers and enlisted crew. Her warp engines allow her to match speeds with the Sovereign class starships already in service. Maneuverability is likewise similar to that of Sovereign.

Shiloh is outfitted with a remarkable dual shield system. Standard operating procedures developed prior to the Dominion War for the theoretical vessel had one set of shields raised in bubble configuration, with the other in conform setting. However, in practice, both during the Dominion War and minor actions with various aggressive species since the end of hostilities, the main set of shields was raised in conform configuration, with the second set of generators at full power, but the shields not engaged. Upon impact of a weapon on the shield, power from the secondary system could be rerouted to the main system, keeping the shield grid at 100%, plus or minus less than one percent. It is noted that in instances in which this tactic was employed, the number of beam or projectile weapons landed on the hull of the vessel was reduced by nearly 300%.

Shiloh is outfitted for possible saucer separation, though this is used only in emergency situations. In instances in which Hull and Saucer separate, combat efficiency is reduced by 25%. The Saucer section, like that of a Galaxy class Starship, is not fitted for warp flight, but is powered by two impulse engines.

Shiloh is presently the only vessel of her class on active service. Her sister ships, USS Saratoga NCC-78559 and USS Chancellorsville NCC-78601 are presently decommissioned and in storage at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, in orbit over Mars. The likelihood of reactivation of Saratoga and Chancellorsville has been greatly reduced with the easing of tensions with the Romulans following the Shinzon incident.
