Computer technology onboard Enterprise?

Dr. Richard daystrom invents duotronic computer technology in 2243. So what kind of computer technology does Enterprise systems have? and will the viewers get to see any shows that will show-case this technology? I think it would be interesting....duotronics, isolinear chips, jel-packs are a long way off.

that would be like P6 6.66 GHz (gigahertz) computers, with Starfleet Comm Network WAN (wide-area-network)...accessing a batch process file back on earth (via echo 1, 2, 3 and 4).

 

this would cause the flickering - the power and network link being interrupted. (eh, not just a pretty avatar huh?)
