a good peice of writing...

This is writen by my Sister in law (Jim's little sister)

In the years gone by our country has changed.

One day we’re fighting each other, and the next we cry to one another.

The planes that crash, the buildings that fall….

All remind us that freedom isn’t free.

One look around shows us what we’re fighting for.

The freedoms we enjoy come with a price.

That price was our blood, our tears, our joy, our pain.

Freedom isn’t free, we seem to forget as the days go by.

We forget to thank the ones who fought

We don’t always remember who gave us our freedom.

We overlook the soldier, the sailor, the marine or the pilot who gave his or her life.

This freedom isn’t free, the price was paid.

There are they who still pay it today.

When we see Iraq and Kuwait today, do we think to thank the soldier who just came home?

Do we remember to be thankful for the life we live today?

Our freedom isn’t free, but WE don’t pay the price.

The ones who serve pay THAT price.

Our flag still stands for freedom, and they proudly serve under it.

The colors just as proud and bold and great.

And the meaning ringing clear as day.

Freedom isn’t free, but they are not scared to defend it.

Our freedom isn’t free, but they proudly pay the price.

To those who served, are serving and will serve…..

The debt is ours to you, for we know freedom isn’t free.

the girl who wrote this is, as said, Jim's little sister. as many of you know, this means she has 2 brothers in the Navy. Her boyfriend is, like one of her brothers, in Iraq.
