Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted March 9, 2004 (edited) Um... if we're all extinct... uh... what? :) Before my head explodes, I'll just say this: If we're extinct, Earth will be more vulnerable to natural disaster. fenriz275 0 Posted March 9, 2004 I'm stockpiling canned goods and ammunition for the collapse, when this freakshow goes down I'll be a postapocalyptic king baby! YEAH! :)
DrWho42 13 Posted March 9, 2004 (edited) Phasing out the human race by voluntarily ceasing to breed will allow Earth's biosphere to return to good health. Crowded conditions and resource shortages will improve as we become less dense. Er... Ok..... That's what it says on the site.... Xeroc 0 Posted March 10, 2004 This is a great example of "NATURAL SELECTION" - exactly why this kind of thing never take off. People who want to do this kind of thing die off, so they don't survuve. Personally, I think it's ridiculous. We can live in harmony with the universe, it is big enough for all of us.
fenriz275 0 Posted March 10, 2004 We can but most people seem to seek out conflict. It would be nice to think that we'll eventually live in harmony but I think there's a snowball's chance of it working out that way.
BakulaBabe 2 Posted March 10, 2004 At first I thought it was a joke, but they actually seem to be serious. The idea that humanity needs to become extinct is apalling, IMHO. How can anyone hate humanity so much that they think we shouldn't exsist? Perhaps they have no hope in their own future, perhaps they hate themselves, perhaps it's just a weird joke. At least it won't be a very popular movement!

Captain Bolivar 0 Posted March 10, 2004 (edited) Okay, the philosophy of this site is truely bewildering! Kill ourselves to improve nature... we ARE part of nature!!!! Sure we do bad things to the environment, but why not just stop ruining the environment? I would love to swear at the stupidity of this site but that would go against the goodness of STF.N. And if I may just add in this edit: The site has a slogan "thank you for not breeding". I must say, I do thank the fools that believe in this stupid extinction of human kind idea for not breeding. We do not need people like that in our gene pool. Just shameful! Edited March 10, 2004 by Captain Bolivar
nik 0 Posted March 12, 2004 Humans definitely don't need an organization to become extinct. We'll probably do it without anyone's help - either by our own shortsightedness or just simple "gambler's ruin". Of all the species that ever inhabited the earth, over 90% have become extinct. I doubt humans are an exception.
Nemesis 0 Posted March 12, 2004 Wow, they do make sort of show human stupidity. I hate paranoid people like that who blame all the Earth's problems on humans. Read a book instead of listening to Greenpeace sheesh.
