  1. Let's say you have the money to further improve the Star Trek universe and you may say thanks for the years of Star Trek or just give ENT.a bigger budget, what would you do? :) The number $230 million........I put the amount in the title, but sill came out 0.

  2. Well, if I won millions of dollars in the lottery I know what I would do..I would re-create the sets of the original Enterprise! Bridge, Sickbay, Transporter Room, Engineering, Corridors..And make my own Trek episode like STNV did..That would be fantastic!! That is my Star Trek fantasy. Can you imagine getting up in the morning grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting on the Bridge of the Enterprise!!

But I also like your idea about hitching a ride on a space shuttle..That would be the ultimate joy ride!

That's a grand idea, and I can only imagine with that kind of money you can design anything you want, like a entire half scale saucer section of the Enterprise with working turbo lifts and a view screen that works you internet and 2 way phone. Who knows you might be lucky and if you do show us pictures or your projects! :)

  3. My wife and I were talking about what if we won the big Lottery [230,000,000.00] like some lucky folks and what would we do with it, my wife had her ideas and I had a bazzare fantasy. My dream was to propose an idea to Paramount and to Nasa that I will pay 20 million for a seat on a space flight to the space station [via Russia or shuttle] and with Paramount's help, they can provide there special camaras, Klingon or something, make up and script to do a real outer space mini film of me in costume and perhaps if alowed, pay for a proffessional makeup/camara person to go. Now the idea is to get a workable five minute or so scene that would play in .....another time line, I know what your saying , not another timeline story! but I could be any time traveler or a walk on crew member of ENT. that was caught up in a time loop that helps with the advancement of the space station, anyway...the point is to have this story done in space and have the scene somewhere in a Star Trek episode, and it will be the first ever tv or movie sci-fi ever to incorporate a scene in space, when we get back to earth, Paramount then can edit into a script  Remember this is the one big thing I like to do if I had the lottery money to spend.

I was wondering, all of you Star Trek fans, if you had the money would you go after your dreams like that? If so explain....what would you do with millions to participate in a Star Trek dream? :P

  4. JUST ASKING THE QUESTION  " ARE WE ALL CRAZY FOR SPENDING SO MUCH TIME IN HERE?"

Watch the movie Free Enterprise and analyse those poor guys :waaaa: I'm only joking, being part of the Federation in our hearts is the next best thing to being there <_<

  5. I'm looking forward to the new X-Men movie coming out in May.

The special edition version of Independence Day is better.  It is called the gold star or 5 star edition or something.  The special edition has some extra scenes involving Dr Okun

I siad it on the other boards, now I will say it here....I GOTTA GET THAT SPECIAL EDITION ID4 DVD!!! A chance to see more of Brent? Now this I have to see, his scene was too short in my opinion. Now, I must confess I haven't read up on this, but my brother said he read somewhere that there is a sequel to ID4, and that Dr. Okun isn't really dead, so Brent would be back in the film!

ID4 part 2? That's a tough act to follow, I hope it's true, after the whippin we took Dr. Okun's knowledge of the aliens would be priceless. <_<

  6. A couple of movies I remember are "Wagons East" a John Candy movie with Voyager's Robert Picardo as Ben Wheeler, and a movie called "Robin Hood men in tights" which Patrick Steward played King Richard, and he sings...the Q was not responsible this time <_<

Speaking of the Q, I saw John on a rerun of McGiver yesterday as a bad guy. :waaaa:

  7. I havnt met any or been to any conventions <_<

I'm just curious, have there ever been any ST. conventions in Canada?

There are usually a couple of conventions in Toronto that usually have Trek actors/actresses at them.

Toronto Trek is being held July 2 to 4, 2004. There will be more guests added. I think the only Trek personality at it last year was Linda Park but I'm not sure. Here is a link to their website:

    Toronto Trek 18

Unfortunately, it appears that this year's Toronto Sci-fi Con has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts.

Thanks, I'm plannig a well deserved vacation this summer and July is perfect. :waaaa: It will probably still be in July sometime, anyway I always wanted to see Canada.

  8. LOL.  I have the vision.  Yes!!! Pointed sideburns and all the chicks in mini-skirts with unusual but well kept hair dos. :tear:

LOL That wouldn't fair on T'Pol especially as she already gets enough criticism for the way she dresses! :tear:

That would be interesting because TOS in the 60's, the fad was mini skirts and go go boots for the ladies, I wonder when it will come back in style agin by the end of ENT. :waaaa:

  9. Yes, I'm enjoying it. I would like to see more episodes like North Star or Carbon Creek though but I have been loving this season.

I like Carbon Creek too, for me it links with X-Files and Roswell.

Also Star Trek always dealt with time travel from TOS to Voyager, why not ENT. the possibilities are endless.

  10. There is one thing though that wasn't around in the 60's and taken for granted in TOS and the rest is the viewer screen.

One of the best features of the show, the viewer screen not only saw the stars, planets and ships but sometimes sees the action on a planet as in the episode "Arena".

Also the the long sort after video phone or web cam that we today are just now perfecting, TOS introduced to us when Kirk had a incoming message [ just like the Jetsons].

Perhaps to introduce touch screen tech in the ENT can be explain as: "well TOS didn't show all the features of the view screen".

On the other side of the coin, I'm just sorry that ST. did not introduce the portable bio screens or geo screens [ I don't know the correct name for it ] like in the movie Red Planet starring Val Kilmar, that technology is right around the corner for the military today. :dude:

  11. I guess for the most part you're right but ENT has to be careful not to step on TOS toes. However there is one major piece of hardware on ENT you overlooked which imo is the most significant of them all: the NX-01 it's self.

Yea I know, it's also the one model that I don't have.

It's to bad the the AMT company isn't making any Star Trek ship models anymore :)

  12. In all of the Star Trek series the human male dress code or fashion sideburns have come to a point [Kirk, Spock etc.] which gave Star Trek dress code it's flare. Personally I like to see it introduce in the show, what say you?

  13. Although Star Trek TOS was ahead of it's time in the hand held communicator which later inspired the flip phone and while we were in that time oohing and aahing the other wonderful toys the show offered it was because in the 60's we didn't have the technology then and the writers of the show had good imaginations then.

I'm concern about todays writers, I'm not seeing anything inspiring any more.

Recently I've seen on Tech TV. wearable electronic gear, clothes with sewn in flexible key pads in the arm that ativates built in devices in the jacket, for example: there is a jacket that gives off an mild electronic jolt if a mugger grabs a women or a man and the person wearing it is insulated,[ this would be good for away missions].

These are great inventions and great trend setters for us in 2004, but one would think that the crew of Enterprise would have this hardware on their uniforms and I'm not talking about the enviromental suits.

I know what you all will say "TOS didn't have it" and you'll be right, I guess the point I'm making is the way things are going now, by the time we [21 century man] get to Archer's time we would be light years ahead their technology. The only ooh's and aah's that are left to conquer is warp travel, artifical gravity and shields.

There is just an overall observation folks.

I personally like to see in Enterprise in more space navigation lingo, you know like having Mayweather using orbit infomation in numbers or how to plot a course to a system or planet. Given that fact that the Mar's rovers landed with perfect navigation, passing that kind of information in the ST. lingo would also be educational for the audience. :garak: [/color]

  14. I'm just curious of how many people on this site encountered there favorite Trek actors. I only meet two, during the 80's at a convention in LA. one was Majel Barrett, she was signing a photo and Brent Spiner in costume also an embarrassing moment for me because while in the crowed corridors of the bonaventure I was trying to find out when the next show was playing and while turning around I firmly bumped into him while he was signing autografts. Till this day I still feel like an idiot, :martok: otherwise I was happy to be there.

Any body else have a story?
