  1. I voted Yes because I think Enterprise is about the Human race conquering their fear of the unknown. I'm not really thinking of cheap scares here, though. I'm thinking of the huge prospect of what the crew of the Enterprise is doing. They are the ONLY human ship to have gone out this far. Nothing whatsoever is known about where they're going except for a few unhelpful factoids compiled by the Vulcans. The Galaxy is a dangerous place. Every species is different from each other and earthmen haven't met most of them. The potential for war to break out is huge (and it happened. Both with Romulans and Klingons.). Also, since they are the only human ship out there, nobody would be able to rescue them if something went wrong. Yes, it would be thrilling to be a part of the Enterprise crew, but it would also be sobering. I would think that there is so much we do not know. Will luck keep us alive until we get our footing?

  2. What I would like to see in a movie is a last battle of wits between Picard and Q. That could be really cool. I'm not sure if even a movie could top Tapestry and All Good Things..., though, maybe better to leave Q alone.

They could also have a movie about a character's early years. Wouldn't it be neat to see Kirk at his first assignment (or Picard for that matter.).

They could have a series (three or so) of Enterprise movies dealing with the Romulan war.

Hmm, I begin to see the difficulty in trying to obtain a different look at Star Trek while not alienating the masses. Perhaps Star Trek should move into the realm of television movies. I think it would be neat to see a Star Trek EVENT every once in a while on the Sci Fi channel or somewhere else.

    Keep thinking.

  3. Well, Spock's comment could be an example of how history is rewritten. For example, Mistress Anne Hutchinson was a dissenting rabble rouser in her time. In our time she is known as an early martyr for the rights of women.

I'm trying to say that history for the Vulcans could have been rewritten to change the label of Mind Melding from "A criminal pursuit" to "a much overlooked and abused pursuit but one which has been practiced from the time of the ancients."

  4. I personally think that it would be a nice touch to end the series by blowing up this Enterprise with all hands on board. I don't think it'll ever happen, but you've got to admit, it would be a surprising twist. Besides, it would quiet a lot of concerns about continuity. This is not to say I don't like Enterprise, though. I LOVE Enterprise, and before they did something like that I'd like at least seven seasons. They could explain how they didn't die in a movie :)
