I think for sake of a story line they have to break the "rules" of time travel just to make it interesting...gotta have paradox or at least the threat of one.

I picked Voyager only because they seemed more of a family...being lost and so far from home...kind of cheezy eh!

lol:I love Star Trek and everyone I know knows it....maybe I'm a geek.. I don't really care what other people think..I did meet a geek once thou
My daughter and I went to see the FC opening...I believe it was late November and it was really cold out...so we took turns standing outside in the line..it was 40 below and we did line up early, so it was nessesary...Anyway the local ST fanclub was there and they were great...they got us all excited and did a trivia game to keep our minds off the cold...Once we were in our seats they gave prizes away for the right trivia answers....My daughter and I were having great time and a man walked up aisle in a Bajoran costume(very well done) I pointed out to my daughter his Bajoran earring and a guy in front of us (the Geek) turn and told us we knew nothing, that it wasn't a real Bajoran earring...lol My daughter looked at me and then him and then said dah...there aren't real Bajorans .
That was my only geek experience...and even that was part of our goodtime.

Martha and I were waiting at a bus stop yesterday; while we waited we were watching cars blow though yellow lights that would turn red when the car was in the middle of the intersection.(We all have had it happen to us, the light turns yellow right at that point where if we continue, the red is going to catch us in the middle of the intersection but if we try to stop, there is a good chance we will end up in a skid.)
In the 10 minutes we were engaged in doing this we saw 5 cars which, had cameras been installed at that light, would be receiving tickets in the mail for a total $1875 ($375 each) being raked into the cities coffers. In 10 minutes at ONE intersection!
Here is my idea; instead of using the technology to catch and prosecute these unfortunates who imo are being victimized for choosing between only two choices available (1. hitting the red by half an intersection or 2. skidding past the crosswalk) I think it would be better if the technology were (also) connected to the stoplight in order to cause the yellow to remain lit an extra second and give the driver time to safely clear the intersection before turning red.
The camera could still be used to catch those who enter the intersection after the the light has turned red.
I agree with you Alterego...its all about $$$$.
