Lovely Autumn Waterfall

It's a cool Autumn day, about 50 degrees. The B.P. is at 30.00, no rain in sight. No one but me here in the studio today.

Sitting in a "Wind-Tunnel". Workmen are here ripping out all the windows in my apartment and putting in new ones. Glad it's NOT raining today, but it IS windy.

So why do they build such a tall building now so flimsy?? I mean The Empire State Building didn't do what the Towers did. No where near it. This is insanity, what's wrong with people?? They have this sturdy, nearly solid block of concrete, Plane Proof, right there in New York City as an example. Why and how did building codes deteriorate to this. Doesn't anyone think about this stuff???

Too late the pilot of the U.S. Army B-25 bomber with three men aboard, saw the Empire State Building loom up before his eyes. At 300 miles per hour, he plunged through the 34th Street side of the building wreaking havoc.

The major portion of the wreckage penetrated the 78th floor. An engine hurtled down an elevator shaft igniting a furious fire in the basement. Parts of the motor and landing gear tore through the entire building landing on top of a 13-story ediface across the street and igniting a second conflagration.

With legs held down by two newsmen, photographer Ernie Sisto crawled out on a harrowing ledge and took the historic photo. It ran on page one of the New York Times.

Why was there not as much damage to the building then as there was to the Twin Towers in comparison????

VBG, I agree. With the Private Sector now into taking over the, well, the Space program, ::cough:: and also some Private Sectors taking over some of the Prisons, why not the Public Schools??? If they start out small and I'm sure in time they would be a viable educational alternative.

I attended a privately owned school. Supported by the alumni and tuitions. There was no government interference whatsoever. BUT it was considered to be an "All White" school. Which wasn't fair at all. I didn't have any friends in High school of other races or cultures. That, I think isn't a good idea.

The first time someone called me "White Bread", I had no idea what they were talking about. DUH!

I disagree with that Lursa. Not all people want money THAT badly. Ferengi just are interested in "Profits". I know I'm not like that and I'm a human. I just want to have what I need and sometimes something I don't really need. But I am a bit odd that way, I am a "Minimalist" at heart. I think we rely too much on "Stuff". Here in America, especially, everyone seems to have too much "Stuff".

Take the last letter of the answer before you, just like the other games. Answers don't have to be one word, they can be a phrase. BUT in this game if you can't come up with something just keep going back in the last answer til you can come up with something. Just to make it a little easier.

e_m, it's not just the schools, it's everywhere. We are all threatened. I hate living like this too. But this is what terrorists do, they instill terror in people. That's why they are called "Terrorists". It may just be a prank by some kids or even adults, but the way things are now we have to take these threats seriously. Better your home if something happens than sitting in classrooms. We have to deal with the hand we are dealt, sorry to say.

Cool, gray and dreary here this morning. The B.P. is at 29.5. It's 50 degrees and overcast. Winds at about 10 knots coming from the NorthEast.

"EVERY SPOILER MUST HAVE THE EPISODES TITLE BEFORE IT."

Make THAT a rule then everyone is warned.
