    Nope. I think I listed that one. This one is very specific, not a general, catch-all term like that. I think I stated it.......a very small object being moved by a very large, inappropriate one. Totally inefficient. We need a NEW name for this.

    Hence the Name of this thread, NAME THAT PRINCIPLE.

    So what is it?

     

    Let me explain. How many times have you been in this predicament?

    Your trying to move something, a very large something, physically. It's taking every bit of your strength just to lift it. Now holding onto , this large massive thing, you have put it somewhere else. You strain, just to hold onto it, now you have to walk with too. You get to where your going to put it down and now here's where the principle comes into play, you can't place it where you planned to BECAUSE there is some little thing preventing anymore forward action. You can't kick this little something out of the way. Your hands and arms are straining just to hold onto this large object, so you have use this large object to coax whatever is blocking you, out of the way. I guess at this point you figure " I should have planned ahead better", but you didn't.

     

    There must be a name for this little dilemma. The moving of a tiny object with something massive and totally inappropriate.

    In a spiritual realm where such mundane things as a physical being doesn't exist. Perhaps fluidic space might be the place. Such entities have invaded starships, according to some episodes, inhabiting different lifeforms at will.

    Cochran did die, and he is dead. Many years before, Archer's father and he worked on perfecting the Warp 5 engine. They were also secretly working together on covert projects involving cryogenics and cloning. They had cloned each other, or themselves, however you want to say it. Then had been deep frozen until a pre-designated time, when they would be revived. Unfortunatley, Archer's Dad's clone was destroyed by a system's failure at the storage facility. So only Cochran was revived. Being Johnathan's GodFather, naturally he wanted to see him and tell him this. He was revived with all his memories intact.

    NEXUS is requesting post as ship's mascot [pet]. Nexus is and 8 ft. long female Iguana. Requests post on Security team. Good at prowling the corridors, intimidating crew members, and scaring little life forms. Has eerie knack for being just where she shouldn't be and can detect intruders with her keen sense of smell. Her duality would be valuable as an on board spy/double agent, she's proficient at sitting on shoulders and watching control panels as crew members are at their posts. And can whip them into shape with her tail if she spots something untoward. Could be housed in the herbonics bay, if we'd have one, and could also double as a snuggly bedmate for those with insomnia.

    Would like to apply for ships Cousellor position on USS Challenger, not crazy about the name thought, can't we have a contest to name the ship? Desire post. Also desire Pre-Sim sessions with one or two other ship's members to develop friendships on the ship, hey how about ' USS Friendship'? Would like to be able to be included in Away Missions and integrated into the plotline more, not just some crew member only called upon during personal crisises. Will we have a holodeck onboard? Perhaps I could also be in Communications, I know, that's a major post, but when encountering new species, I'm very good with words, I think. Judgement call here??? :laugh:

    I've Simmed a couple times, it was really fun. I just wish there could be some kind of advance, briefing for us so we could practice Simming. Once it starts if you run into trouble , eventually it affects the Sim. I know practice makes perfect, but OJT doesn't work too well if your already in it and lost. We need a ST Acadamy Course on Simming, Please?? A class. With an instructor.

    EXCUSE ME, GET A LIFE, I HAVE A LIFE, A VERY NICE LIFE. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME EVER DOING THREADS, I AM HAVING SO MUCH FUN THE DAY HAS JUST BLOWN BY ME. IT'S BEEN 13 HOURS NOW AND I WONDER IF THIS COULD ALSO BECOME SOME KIND OF MARATHON EVENT FOR THE SITE, HMM, GOOD IDEA, SEE, NOW I'M GETTING GOOFY. I REALLY SHOULD GO TO SLEEP, AHH, WHAT'S THIS?     SORRY, CPTWRIGHT, I DON'T KNOW YOU AND HAVE NEVER READ ANYTHING YOU HAVE WRITTEN TIL 10 MINUTES AGO. I'VE HAD MONEY AND PROPERTY STOLEN FROM ME BY PEOPLE I THOUGHT I COULD TRUST WITH MY LIFE, I WAS WRONG. JUST AS NOW I COULD BE AND PROBABLY AM WRONG ABOUT WHAT I SAID ABOUT YOUR RESPONSE.     MANY RECORDS OF OLD CIVILIZATIONS REFER TO THE FIRE IN THE SKY, COULD IT HAVE BEEN VISITORS? I THINK OUR PLANET IS SO OLD AND WE DON'T HAVE THE CAPACITY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HAS REALLY HAPPENED HERE SO LONG AGO. SO MANY STRUCTURES BUILT WITHOUT ANY TRACKABLE WAYS OF DOING WHAT WE THINK TO BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR THAT TIME, BUT THEY DID IT. DID THEY HAVE HELP, THAT WE DON'T KNOW ABOUT. THE PYRAMIDS, HMM, MAYBE WE ARE ALL WRONG ABOUT HOW THEY WERE BUILT. MAYBE THEY WERE BUILT FROM THE TOP DOWN, EVER THINK OF THAT POSSIBILITY???
