The real reason is because of writing. If we see the "other" side of Romulans too often they become watered-down as an enemy the way Voyager did to the Borg. As long as they are kept mysterious they are a viable enemy to write about.

Ezri looks like she would be the best in bed.

Mmm, meat popsicles!
I didn't see the movie yet but the people who are saying we will have a global warming are the very same people who predicted global cooling 10 years ago. Apocolyptic visions such as these are simply based on bad science.

I saw the 850 million pieces of junk mail bit. Anyone that spams that much deserves prison. He should be made to write 850 million handwritten apologies, each one original.

Absolute zero is defined as the temperature at which all motion stops, even microscopic motion. It is not possible to get any colder. So wouldn't perpetual motion be at "absolute heat"? At a temperature where it is impossible to go any higher? No. The heat would have to be completely self-contained, meaning I could stand right next to it and not even melt the ice in my Coke. I just don't see it happening.

It's a mixed bag. War shifts resources away from R&D (Yes, I know, military R&D increases but I'm talking about *total* R&D.) toward the military. However, what R&D *does* take place is more focused and practical.

Yes40 days I waited for a responce, and this is the best you can do?

Give me a break. Riker? He couldn't even keep Ro in line, much less a crew with full Maquis aboard.

Contrary to popular belief, the Captain's Chair does not have an ash tray or can holder.

The correct answer is teal. It is closer to green than blue, but you need to have a really good TV to see the subtle difference.
It would make sense for Medical to have their own color. After all, you do need them to be recognised quickly, no?

If you look at the maps from where voyager started from they were about the same distance from earth as to the wormhole.True, and then you have to consider that our end of the wormhole is not home. They still have to travel the rest of the way to Earth.

What is really amazing is how the NX-01 went from Earth to Kronos in just a few days. That was at Warp 5 max, and they even made stops along the way. According to the map the distance Voyager had to cover to get home was at most 4 times the size of the 24th century Federation (assuming a direct flight). It should have taken no more than a month or so at high warp.

How can you possibly have a list of really good science fiction movies and not include Mars Attacks?
OK, yeah, even I need to laugh at that one.

I picked Dirty Potato Chips, but only because Krunchers wasn't an option.

Pulp FictionI love the intro to "The Watch" mimi-story. I don't how Tarantino and Christopher Walken kept a straight face when filming that.

I do not think a Vulcan would ever wear an outfit like the one in your avatar, so it was rather apparent that she was Romulan. The point you made about the reunification episode is a valid one. Are you refering to that insane article on startrek.com?Quite true on both accounts
Well it's still a dirty trick. :)

Because beards itch. Sheesh, is it really that hard to accept?

You know, that is a really dirty trick picking a really hot Vulcan chick as your avitar and then saying you are male in your profile. :( :( :o

How to tell time in the military:
Let's say it is what civilians call 8:00.
Army: It is 0800 Hours.
Navy: It is 8 bells.
Air Force: It is 8:00.
Marines: Mickey Mouse's left hand is on the 8. :(

Starfleet vessel controls are able to be customized to suit the individual. I guess like modifying your desktop. It might have been that the Kazon were able to change the words into their language.
You would think the computer would have recognised that a majority of the "crew" were non-Federation races and shut itself down.

I'm an Atheist! Woo-hoo! <_<

You know how often essays are written in the real world?
Hardly ever.

I don't "shop" unless I am getting something I can't get at a convenience store. The supermarket by my place (Albertsons) sucks so I am quite willing to pay $.15-20 more on the dollar at a 7-11 to not have to deal with the (colorful metaphor)ing hassle of the supermarket.

BTW The laws are really old because it bans thing such as shellfish and non cud chewing animals with hooves (yes i know i said that)Its because it was health issues too..So no Lobster and No Pork
OK, I can understand why those foods were initially banned for health reasons, and that got carried over into their culture, but why live by it now?
Another Time Travel Question?

It depends on the interactions (or potential interactions) between that planet and other planets. If something happened to, say, the Remans the changes would mostly happen within the Romulan Empire.
Then again, if the Remans were a key part of the Romulan economy then this could affect the strength of the Empire and could affect it's diplomacy and war capabilities with the Klingons, Federation, etc.
